Programs We Support
The Carol and Kent H. Landsberg Foundation supports projects of public benefit, charitable organizations which are designated exempt from state and federal taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and are involved in:
Prenatal, birth, or perinatal psychology issues and education.
Environmental issues and education.
Animal welfare programs that help educate the public about the numerous issues facing domestic and wild animals.
Enhancing the lives of deaf and hard of hearing children by providing them with skills and positive experiences in social settings.
These organizations must be at least 3 years old and have total assets less than $500,000, excluding real property.
We support small organizations that do not receive public funding.
We are particularly interested in funding specific, stand-alone projects that (a) are not funded as budget items; (b) have little or no administrative overhead attached (such as paid grant writers); and; (c) will directly enhance and support the organization’s mission.
We do not support capital campaigns, marketing costs, payment of legal fees, programs that are adjuncts to publicly funded programs (such as classes or programs offered in conjunction with public schools), or projects that can be paid for through other means (such as newsletters that can utilize small subscriber fees for funding). These Grants are restricted, which means they must be used as described in the Application.
Grant Ranges
Due to the large number of applications we receive, grants from the Carol and Kent H. Landsberg Foundation range from about $2,000 to $5,000.
About Us
The Carol and Kent H. Landsberg Foundation was founded in 1989 by Carol and Kent Landsberg so they could work together in assisting small, non-profit organizations that addressed issues that were very important to them. Specifically, these issues are: animal welfare; prenatal and perinatal psychology; environmental welfare; and educational and social needs of young deaf and hard of hearing children.
We continue to seek opportunities where small grants from our Foundation will further the missions of these organizations and make a difference in the well-being of our communities.
